J.M. Coetzee
Disgrace
The New York Times Book Review, Michael Gorra: Coetzee won an earlier Booker Prize for Life & Times of Michael K.. Last month's award made him the only writer ever to win it twice. Dianne Case
92 Queens Road
From Horn Book: Case's experiences as a coloured child growing up in South Africa during the 1960s are vividly captured in this novel. The meandering first-person narrative describes the young heroine's feelings as she watches a beloved uncle move to Canada in search of a better life, neighbors forcibly removed from their homes, and cousins now officially termed hiteturning away from anyone who is not, during the period of apartheid.

Biographer Alexander defends Paton against those charges.......
