Skeleton Gorge via Maclear`s Beacon, to the Front Table - Yellowwood Cracks Walk

Start this walk from the Table Mountain Nature Reserve signpost on Theresa Avenue above Camps Bay. The crack goes some 20m in and then turns sharp left and over a hump. Suddenly you're into Tranquility Cracks, a labyrinth of natural corridors with Yellowwods reaching up to the strip of sky above.

Yellowwood Cracks is a strenuous full day hike. Walk up Skeleton Gorge where the indigenous forest provides shade. On reaching the top of the Back Table, take a break before the final climb to Maclear`s Beacon, the highest point on Table Mountain. Go on a moderately strenuous hike up one of the Twelve Apostles overlooking Camps Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. Walk along the historic "Pipe Track" before tackling the easy ascent of Corridor Ravine. Enjoy the magnificent views across the peninsula to False Bay.
