Trogon House and Forest Spa

Trogon House and forest spa is a luxurious forest hideaway & boutique hotel nestled in the tree tops of the scenically beautiful Garden Route. It offers dedicated service, luxury, privacy and a stunning location only 15 min from Plettenberg Bay.

Elevated into the tree tops, the lodge is embraced by the forest with its natural stone and thatch design. Ceiling-floor windows and sky-lit roofs have been used in each room to maximise forest views and to create a true “nature forest" experience.

Trogon House comprises two adjacent lodges, Malabar Lodge & Tomba Lodge. The combined seven rooms at Trogon House can either be booked individually or a group may book an entire lodge at exclusive use.

This secluded hideaway's two lodges are almost identical in design with tastefully and exquisitely decorated interiors. The utmost attention to detail has been afforded using the finest Egyptian linen, silks and crystal to complement the exotic antique and African art treasures. While ceiling windows and canopy blinds create an inviting and romantic ambience.

Tomba Lodge accommodates up to six guests in a Master suite and two Double luxury en-suite bedrooms. All guest areas offer fireplaces adding a warm and cosy atmosphere. The entertainment areas, lounges, as well as an outdoor sitting areas provide private spaces for individual guests to relax and unwind. From the enormous sundeck, guests can enjoy sundowners and expansive views of the Tsitsikamma mountains and forest.

Trogon House is situated 20 minutes from Plettenberg Bay. Drive through Plettenberg Bay on the N2 towards Port Elizabeth. Turn Right at the Garden Route Superette; just before the Port Elizabeth Toll Gate.
