Apart from Boulders Beach in Simon’s Town, this is the only other shore-based breeding colony in South Africa. Best viewing times: early morning or late afternoon when they return from their 20km fishing expeditions.

Hours: Daily (after hours by appointment).

Admission: R10; free under-6s free.

No- credit cards are accepted.
