Don’t let the blackboard menu and bucolic surrounds fool you into thinking this is just another country café in the Winelands. Chef Michael Broughton’s French-inspired fare has racked up a ridiculous number of awards. From his signature prawn and mushroom risotto to his superbly sauced fillet with parmesan cream, each bite is a triumph. A culinary must.

Open 12.30-2.30pm daily; 7-9.30pm Mon-Sat.

Main courses R160.
