It's all natural, organic, seasonal, fresh and healthy but definitely not boring or lacking in flavour. The bird motif (including birdsong) is carried throughout in this restful place where (rather uncomfortable) seating is on upturned milk crates at long wooden communal tables. It may be very casual, but you will be well fed. The chicken pie is a speciality, and to drink, juices, European coffees or delicately flavoured teas.

Hours: 8.00am-late Mon- Fri; 8.00am- 2.00pm Sat.

Main Courses: starts from R55.
