Gold Restaurant

Gold is one of South Africa's most precious natural resources and the women behind this restaurant are surely worth their weight in it – late doyenne of South African food Lannice Snyman was the menu consultant, and the all-female15-member kitchen team is helmed by no-nonsense Emily Njengele. The set tasting menu served in individual portions at the table is the perfect way to sample Cape Malay cuisine as well as many traditional African-inspired dishes from countries like Cameroon, Cote D'Ivoire, Ghana, Nigeria and Algeria.

Hours: 6.30pm-11.00pm Mon-Sun; 10.00am-11.00 Mon- Sat.

Main Courses: (set price) R235.
