It’s laid-back (your crockery is a paper plate, and your cutlery is – seriously – a washed-out mussel shell), but it’s an experience you’ll never forget. It’s a meal, sure: three hours, nine courses, all you can eat, with dishes ranging from mussel meat with onions, garlic and farm butter to coffee and koek sisters via ostrich neck and goulash pot (course 4) … but it’s also a sand-between-your-toes culinary experience, where you kick off your shoes, settle in at the wooden bench, and soak up the seaside atmosphere.
Hours: Noon-3pm & 6.30pm-late daily in season & school holidays. Winter 6.30pm-late Sat; noon-3pm Sun.
Main courses: R175 adults, R90 scholars, R50 pre-schoolers.
No- Credit Cards are accepted.
