Simonsig Wine Estate, Kromme Rhee Road, off R44
Western Cape
South Africa
021 888 4932

Elegantly furnished in an eclectic mix of classic wooden and funky retro, this establishment’s menu takes inspiration from the Cape Dutch building in which it finds itself. The emphasis is very much on traditional Western Cape fare with a contemporary twist, in dishes like coriander-roasted Hantam lamb encased in sour-cream pastry served alongside preserved green figs. The estate’s prized wines are also a fixture in desserts like sweet-wine sorbet and Cap classique jelly.

Open 11am-3pm Tue-Sat; 7-10pm Fri, Sat; 11am-2pm Sun.

Main courses R160.
