Jessica’s Restaurant

Much loved by locals, this dining favourite is named after the owners’ bulldog, Jessica. The vibe is romantic and unpretentious and the cuisine, dished up by chef Heinrich-Werner Blom, is continental with Eastern influences. At the time of writing, Blom was planning a sousvide menu (slow cooking under pressure), but a regular à-la-carte fine-dining menu will still be available. The crispy duck and Karoo trio are favourite choices for mains.

For dessert it’s a toss-up between the home-made gorgonzola ice cream or peanut butter parfait. The restaurant can also organise wine-tasting trips.

Open Season Noon- 2.30pm; 6.30-10pm daily. Off-season 6.30-10pm Wed-Mon. Closed for three weeks in August.

Main courses R110.
