Competent Artistes is an International Award-winning television and live event production company, working in both the broadcast and corporate fields, based in Johannesburg, South Africa. Our main mission statement is that our company should provide world-class professional television and live events economically through meaningful and sustained black social and economic upliftment.
Competent Artistes is proud that our company became 10 years young on September 10, 2003, with still its original clients, plus a blue-chip bouquet of new ones. Since 2000 Competent Artistes has been working as CNN's outside production company for sub-Saharan Africa, with company director Paul Tilsley reporting on air approximately twice a week for CNN. The team work on stories ranging from war, floods and politics to business and music features, for both CNN's WORLD NEWS and INSIDE AFRICA global programmes.
