If you spot giraffe on the R27, however unlikely it seems, you know you’ve entered Buffelsfontein territory. Inside the park, a guided game drive will reveal anything from blue wildebeest, oryx and zebra, to lesser-spotted bat-eared foxes, honey badgers and aardvark. It’s a bush experience on the West Coast.

Open 8am-5pm. Game drives 9am and 2pm.

Rates R400; R200 under-12s.
