Situated within the Verlorenvlei wetland reserve, Vensterklip is a real birders’ paradise. Watch ibises, pelicans, spoon-bills, gulls, gannets and hordes of LBJs from your comfortable campsite – complete with braai facilities and an own bath-room. For a bit more luxury, opt for one of the beautifully restored historic cottages. Be sure to take a short stroll to the on-site bird hide which offers one of the most favourable vantage points on the vlei.
