In anticipation of the climate change conference to be held in Copenhagen in December, KPMG successfully hosted a Conversation on the business impact of climate change on Tuesday 20 October in Cape Town. Our panel had representatives from a research agency, business, and KPMG.
KPMG hosted a Client Conversation webcast on the 30th September on the Changing Regulatory Business World. Facilitated by business media personality Bruce Whitfield, the discussion ranged from an examination of broad changes in the regulatory landscape affecting business, to the specific implications of the introduction of the Consumer Protection Act, the Companies Act expected to come into effect in June 2010, the expected impacts on business of climate change regulations and the King III Code on Good Governance. For further information please contact the panellists here. If you would like to order a CD of this webcast for your company.
KPMG International is a Swiss cooperative association of which all KPMG firms are members. KPMG International provides no professional services to clients. Each member firm is a separate and independent legal entity and each describes itself as such. (e.g. KPMG Services (Proprietary) Limited, a company incorporated under the South African Companies Act, is a member firm of KPMG International a Swiss cooperative).
We go to market by “Line of Business” or Industry, serving all of the major industries across our economy. This focus allows our professionals to rapidly understand our clients’ needs with the context of their business and the broader relevant industry. Our people enjoy the growth opportunities that this environment offers them.
